June workshop with Martina Obersat
Guild member Martina Obersat taught students to weave the classic Williamsburg-style basket. This beginner basket contains all the basic techniques to learn: a square base, a flared shape, a lashed rim and a lovely fancy "X" braid handle. A fun class and every student completed the basket (some had homework to finish the fancy handle). What a great way to spend a Saturday!
